Hi Pauline
I want to submit a paper to this - but am struggling ... (suspect many
of us are in the same situation) with trying to fit in teaching,
materials development, writing, project management, team issues, ...
not to mention the 200+ and still burgeoning unanswered emails ...)
I want to present on an ongoing project we have in Plymouth: it's about
giving students examples of essays, and tutors' comments, organised in
terms of types of communication (arguing, describing, concluding etc) to
help raise questions/give ideas about what essay writing is / is for /
what's expected / how academics tend to judge work ....
By the way ... How DO you all cope? Any tips for survival? How do you
and your colleagues manage workloads?
In haste!
John

Subject: FW: Writing Conference May 2006
Apologies if you've already seen this - but assuming we want LearnHigher
to
have a presence at this conference, the deadline for submission of
abstracts
is only a month off. Is anyone already planning to contribute - or
should
we discuss possibilities?
Best wishes
Pauline
