Hi everyone,
I haven't any literature sources to quote, but ...
1) As a recent HE student myself, I really appreciated access to handouts
BEFORE THE LECTURE (!) (not afterwards, as some lecturers were wont to do).
This meant that I could write additional info in the course of the lecture
and generally make the notes "mine" without losing half of the lecture while
I was writing down an important point/s.
2) We are hosting a learning and teaching conference here tomorrow and the
keynote speakers, Mantz Yorke and Phil Race have both requested that the
copies of their slides NOT be made available before their address. Make of
that what you will ... (I will listen carefully and see whether I can pick
up just why each of them made the request.)
I'll let you all know if I find out anything.
Ruth

Subject: Literature about Handouts
Dear LDHEN Colleagues,
Is anyone aware of any literature about the effectiveness of handouts or
different types of handouts? Any starting points for investigation that you
have to hand would be much appreciated.
Many thanks if you are able to help,
Best wishes
