Hi John and everybody,
Just like to say that I've found the list a wonderful resource and a source
of encouragement - not only for the utterly indispensable role it has
played in the LearnHigher CETL bid, but also for some of the
debates/information sharing that has gone on. For me, I haven't really had
the time to grapple with some of the conceptual ideas focused around the
terminology we use, so I've been very lurker-like and haven't contributed.
However, I have great sympathy with some of the arguments put forward and
would very much like some time to explore in more detail.
Therefore, I'm all for another symposium - and perhaps we might explore
some of these issues, the problem or advantages of 'skills', the emergent
identity approach etc etc - perhaps in the form of a debate/Question Time
panel? Might be great fun!
Keep up the good work, John.
Best Wishes, Bill
