Hello Caroline,
As I am in the LDHEN 'loop' I have received this message.Actually, we may have
met briefly in the past, as I have taught on VALUE programmes in the past.I
work at a half-time Study Support Tutor (Senior Lecturer) at Christ Church and
for the Disability Support Unit at UKC as Dyslexia Team Leader. However, as the
DSU work is DSA funded, I am usually free in April/May for approximately two-
to-two and a half days per week.
This also applies to a certain extent to Sept/Oct.
Will look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Paul Thomas

>At the University of Kent we are continuing to expand our learning
development VALUE summer schools (VALUE = Value Added Learning in University
Education). However we have run into a problem that I am sure is shared by
others: the availability of short-term sessional teaching and guidance staff.

>The key times for extra staffing will be April/May (pre-exams) and Sept/Oct
(induction, return to study, transition to further study), but the
availability of work will be dependent upon the number of departments and
students taking part. If you know of anyone who may be interested in being
part of a resource pool of staff who can tutor learning development workshop
sessions and/or offer individual advice and guidance at either Canterbury or
Medway, please do encourage them to contact me.
