Hello Jasmin,
I am new into post as Policy Advisor for Race Issues at the Equality
Challenge Unit, who provide support to the HE sector on promoting
equality. This has included guidance on Impact Assessments and the
various Equality Schemes.
I will guide you to pages 33 - 38 of the attached document 'Conducting
Equality Impact Assessments in Higher Education' which has guidance on
Engagement and Consultation. In addition, the document 'Involving
Disabled People in Disability Equality Schemes: Briefing Paper for the
Higher Education sector' contains guidance that can be transferred to
other equality areas such as race.
I hope these are of some use, there is further publications at the
following URL which may be of relevance also.

Subject: Consultation
Hello All
I would appreciate some help with how to carry out both staff and
student consultation with regards to the Race Equality Scheme. Currently
I am finding that staff are not willing to come forward to discuss this
topic.
What techniques have you used, what was successful and why?
Regards
