Jasmin,
We have experienced a noticeable level of consultation fatigue recently.
Almost every day there seems to be another request for staff to fill out
a survey, take part in a focus group etc. When we were carrying out the
consultation for the gender equality scheme we did try the usual methods
but we also carried out a clip board survey. We recruited student
volunteers to take out survey sheets and stop people around campus and
interview them on the spot. Each volunteer had a quota of staff and
students (male/female/BME/ etc.) to interview. The volunteers were paid
to take part. We found this to be very successful.
Best wishes,
Syd.

Subject: Consultation
Hello All
I would appreciate some help with how to carry out both staff and
student consultation with regards to the Race Equality Scheme. Currently
I am finding that staff are not willing to come forward to discuss this
topic.
What techniques have you used, what was successful and why?
