Here at the University of Teesside we are re-visiting our Equal
Opportunities Policy and I too would be grateful to receive copies of
policies from those members who have recently re-visited their policies.
In hopeful anticipation

Subject: Eo Policies/ Codes of Practice
Dear Colleagues,
I am an academic who chairs the Equal Opps Working Group in the School of
Education. We have important elements of EO policy (eg for Language and
Etiquette, for Interviews, a University-wide policy for Dignity at Work)
but nothing comprehensive as yet.
I need to draft an EO policy, or perhaps code of practice, asap. I would be
grateful for examples of
full policies,
SCHOOL/FACULTY policies
and particularly for
*any sort of statements of intent or commitment that lay down
principles
upon which a policy can be built*
The School would like to produce something within a couple of weeks in
order that it contribute to our TQSA submission. I think that is too short
a time in which to finalise and get agreement for a comprehensive policy,
but time enough to firm up the underlying principles. Hence my request.
In hopeful anticipation,
Nick Givens.
