Athena SWAN Support Officer
Starting salary: Grade 7 £30,424 pro rata
Part-time 0.6FTE
Fixed term until 31 July 2015
We are seeking a highly organised individual with a strong interest in equality issues to act as a co-ordinator for the University’s Athena SWAN activities. Athena SWAN is a charter scheme for women in science and supports the advancement and promotion of women’s careers in Science, technology; Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) in higher education and research. The role will include providing advice and support to departments within the University looking to apply for Athena SWAN awards. Additionally the post holder will support the promotion of gender equality across non-STEMM areas in the University, working towards recognised external benchmarks.
The successful candidate will have relevant work experience in a project/co-ordinator role and a background in an equality setting. Experience in a Higher Education environment is desirable.
