Pretty much the same here at Nottingham, although there is a sabbatical
post for Equal Opps/Welfare which oversees the student officers - women,
black and minority ethnic students, disabled students, LBGT students,
postgraduates, international students and mature students.

Dear Bertille,
In Hull SU, we have Vice-President (Welfare and Equality), Black Student
Officer, Disabled Student Office, Women's Officer and LBGT Officer.
These are designated official posts that are appointed through annual
elections. They represent the interests of students falling under these
protected characteristics. In addition we have religious societies etc.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.
Regards
Anne
