Dear Fehmeeda, Our induction programme for all new staff is run three
times a year and includes a diversity, H&S and other Corporate issues.
In addition, it is mandatory to do diversity training from a variety of
programmes offered. Disability awareness is one of the options.

Dear All,
I hope you are all well. We have recently re-vamped our corporate
induction programme and as part of this, there are three mandatory
on-line modules (Health and Safety, Respect for People Diversity
programme and Disability Confident). There is also a corporate
induction session which is mandatory. The Corporate Induction is an
interactive face to face session for all new starters to find out more
about the student and staff experience at the University. It is a two
and a half hour session and is led by one of the Senior managers at the
University.
I wanted to know if other colleagues offer disability awareness training
as a mandatory part of induction and whether this would include a test
at the end? Currently, completion of the Disability Confident
programme is mandatory but doing the test at the end is not.
Any thoughts on this would be most welcome!
