Hi all,
There's been a positive response to the news of this conference, so I thought it might be a good
time to mention a new JISC listserv dedicated to inclusive curriculum issues. It's called
(imaginatively) INCLUSIVE-CURRICULUM, and the homepage is at www.jiscmail.ac.uk/inclusive-curriculum
. Do come and join the discussion!
Best wishes,
Katya

We are running a conference on Equality and Diversity in the Curriculum
on April 29th.
This is the fifth in the University of Wolverhampton series of Biennial
Conferences on Equality and Diversity issues. These have been very well
received events. They are aimed at UW staff but we invite any HE
practitioners with an interest in this area to attend. ( Already some
people have found this through Google and asked to come...how it got
onto Google I'm not sure)
There will be feedback on our research project 'Embedding Equality and
Diversity in the Curriculum: Developing and Disseminating Effective
Practice'.
Speakers will also cover Mental Health in the Curriculum and use of an
on-line module provided by MarshallACM on E&D in the curriculum.
We hope there will also be a speaker on the Internationalisation agenda
but I cannot confirm this just yet.
The morning will consist of presentations. In the afternoon there will
be 3 X 15 minute presentations on work done in the Schools on E&D and
then small group discussion.
If you are interested in coming please let me know by email. I will send
you the programme when in less draft form...probably after the 14th.
