Fehmeeda, you could contact Bournemouth University who held an Away Day
(with some impressive leaflets and posters!), you could speak to Stephen
Deveraj.
We did a very small scale event - a 'Diversity Fortnight' back in Feb to
celebrate Chinese NY, Mardi Gras and Shrove Tuesday! We also had a mini
International Film Festival showing fims in the Student Union. There was
a quiz (with a prize) and we had a big noticeboard with a world map 'where
in the world do you come from' where students could stick a pin and marker
- we had over 40 different places I think!
This was mostly organised by the International Officer and the Chaplain
plus the Student Union General Manager and a bit of input from me. We
should have advertised more but maybe next year..... You have to start
somewhere.
Best wishes
