I think you will find "Good Talking - the HE Communicators Equality and
Diversity Toolkit" that ECU/HEFCE are about to publish helpful, in its
discussions on the use of language, image and format, and its checklists of
good practice in HEI corporate documents and presentation generally.
It is due to be distributed to all HEIs this month.
Yours

Subject: Equality proofing
Hello all,
I hope you are well.
I have been asked to draft some guidance on how to 'equality proof' a
document. I have found plenty of information on accessible formats but am
struggling to find a checklist which shows what generally should/shouldn't
be in a document.
I just wondered if anyone has produced such a checklist in the past. I have
got the obvious ones on there but am struggling to expand on it.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
With thanks
Katie Edwards
