The Commission on University Career Opportunity (CUCO) has set up a task
group to draw up guidelines on sexuality for the HE sector. The
guidelines will cover lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
We would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer
the following questions:
1. Does your Institution include lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender within its Equal Opportunities and Harassment
policies?
2. What measures does your institution take to prevent
discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
staff and students?
Could you send us specific policies that your institution has
within this area and any examples of good practice?
3. Are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender issues covered within
your Equal Opportunities Training programme? Could you send us
details of training material that you use in this area?

The guidelines will be published in Summer 2000. We would be grateful
for any other information relevant to this area that you could send us.

1. Our harassment & Workplace Bullying policy covers
ANY form of harassment ot bullying.
Our Equal Opps Policy statement specifically mentions
sexual orientation.
2 No specific policy to these groups. University reacts
to any form of discrimination in the same way.
3 Referred to as in 1 above during an EO slot in
Induction Training
