Dear all,

take a few moments to answer the question below:
Has your university produced an access audit that addresses
physical accessilibity and provision for staff and students
with disabilities?
The University of Exeter has developed a partnership with
the Leonard Cheshire Foundation with the aim of producing a
comprehensive report on physical accessibility for staff
and students with disabilities. It would be particularly
interesting to learn of any similar reports and the
techniques used in the process."
This is a quick note to say note that findings of a physical access survey
at the university of Liverpool was published at Disability and Society
journal in 1998 by Chard et al. It has been a very comprehensive acocunt of
the physical access audit carried out inetrnally by the university itself
with the contract with some disability-related departments. (full citation
can be given separately upon request). If you have some health and
disability related courses in your university, it is sure that you may have
this journal in your library. Or youcan requestit through the interlibrary
loan.
Hope it helps.
