Hi Dom,
Some of the information in our recent briefing on KIT/SPLIT days might be of interest: https://www.ecu.ac.uk/publications/improving-use-kit-split-days/
There are recommendations in here around policies, leave calculators, communications and monitoring (etc) which could be embedded into a wider checklist. There's also a range of links to wider issues around maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave at the end, and institutional case studies.
A note on access: users will need to log in to the ECU website to download the file as pdf or word. If you're not already registered you can do so using your '.ac.uk' address at http://hub.ecu.ac.uk/home/register-portal.aspx as long as your institution is a member. Open to all staff and students at your institution.
Hope this is useful for you,
Best,
Jess
