Subject: PhD research
Dear Sir / Madame,
I am a PhD student at Goldsmiths, University of London and we are
currently conducting an online psychological survey about ethnic
relationships and ethnic discrimination. We are targeting participants
with different ethnic backgrounds and try to reach a diverse sample
within the UK. The study has ethical approval from the department of
psychology at Goldsmiths College. I was wondering if it is possible for
you to circulate the message below to your network. I hope you might be
interested in a study that aims developing ethnic minorities'
psychological well-being. Thank you very much.
''Today, UK is among the world's most ethnically diverse countries in
the world, and better understanding of the effects of such diversity is
needed, including how ethnic relationships and potential
discrimination/segregation affect outcomes later on in life. As a part
of a PhD research at Goldsmiths, University of London, we are looking
for participants who can share their experiences about ethnic
relationships and ethnic discrimination by completing a short online
survey which will only take 15 minutes. As a result, you will be able to
participate in a £20 prize draw once you completed the questionnaire.
If you are between 19-25, attended a UK based secondary school and
interested in telling us about ethnic relationships you observed, you
can contribute to a PhD study by following this link:

All ethnic groups are invited to participate in the study, but we
specifically encourage individuals with non-White ethnic backgrounds in
order to reach an ethnically diverse sample. We also encourage you to
participate, regardless of whether you attended a diverse secondary
school or not, and regardless of whether you had a diverse set of
friends or had no friendships outside your ethnic group.

Thank you very much for your time and effort.''
Kind regards
