Dear all
At Lancaster University our conference service offers visitor rooms on a B&B only basis for short-stays (usually just 1 night),
and access to a kitchen is not provided. There is some flexibility on request to eg keep medication refrigerated for someone with diabetes, or to provide a croissant before sunrise for someone observing Ramadam.
(Note: the visitor room B&B service is separate from our main conference and events service package, which offer fully inclusive - supported services).
My question is whether not providing a kitchen is discriminatory, when, in addition to the flexibility on request, there are alternative short-stay providers on and around the University campus?
(Note: full and varied food provision on campus is, of course, also important)
Best wishes to all
