Dear all,
We are looking to establish an ongoing joint staff-student interfaith
forum at UCL. Its aim will broadly be to 1) facilitate dialogue between
people and groups of diverse religious /spiritual backgrounds 2) create
a positive environment for religious pluralism 3) enhance understanding
through building respectful and cooperative relationships between
different groups. It is also intended that the forum will provide
opportunities for open discussion on iterative issues such as balancing
concerns about religion and sexual orientation and also extremist
speakers being allowed on campus.
I am keen to find out if any other institutions have established similar
groups or networks and if so, what has worked well and what are the
pitfalls to avoid. I'd also be interested to see the terms of reference
for any such groups if possible.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance,
Best wishes
Fiona
