We have a Listening Ear service which I co-ordinate - which is key members or academic and admin staff in each school and office who are there to be a first point of contact for any equality related issues.

Subject: Re: Dignity and Respect
Hello Colleagues,
Here in Bradford we have recently developed our Dignity and Respect Policy,
as part of it's implementation we are currently looking at developing the
role of Dignity and Respect Contact Persons (DRCPs).
The DRCPs are internal members of staff who may have a key interest in any
of the 7 equality strands, we are looking at developing this role and would
like to provide an outline in relation to the role descriptor.
I was wondering if any other HEI's have anything similar in place and if so
if you could forward me any details in relation to the role of dignity and
respect contacts or anything similar within your organisations.
The overall remit of the role of DRCPs is to provide support, listen and
signpost to others who can offer specific help and support.
Many thanks and kind regards.
