As someone who now acts as a diversity trainer, and therefore as someone whose details potentially could be requested, I would be interested to discuss this off line.

Dear all
Goldsmiths also received this request from the Sunday Times plus an
additional one on complaints by staff and students relating teaching and
harassment. Has anybody else received this one?
Thanks

Subject: The Sunday Times - freedom of information request concerning
Equality and Diversity training and terminology
Dear all,
Newcastle University recently received a Freedom of Information request
from the Sunday Times, requesting details of our Equality and Diversity
training programmes, with particular emphasis on any guidance given on
the use of language. It further specified we were to divulge information
on any training consultants employed this context along with details of
costs.
After consulting with an external company we have employed to conduct
E&D training, who suggested I contact the list, it looks possible that
the Sunday Times are doing a general trawl as the request was broad and
was not addressed to the FOI officer at the University.
We were wondering if any other institutions had received a similar
approach? If so, how have you responded? If not, I thought it would be
worth making colleagues aware of the possibility they may be contacted.
Best wishes
Adam Jones
Equality and Diversity Assistant
