Dear All
The University Nursey at Chester is being relocated from the main campus to and off site building about 1 mile away / 30 minute walk from its previous location. The intercampus transport is provided by a series of mini buses which shuttle students between the main campus at Chester, Warrington and via the off site location.
A number of users have queried the suitability of mini buses for both disability access and for parents to and from the nursery. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation and could shed some light on the license implications / law on children in minibuses and any legal responsibility of the University to provide suitable inter campus transport?
One reason for the anxiety amongst parents is that public transport to the off campus site is inadequate and doesn't go via the main campus site and their is pressure on the current parking available on campus.
Any information or advice would be welcome
Regards
Darren
