Dear Tammy
We at MMU are fortunate to have some dedicated resource to support EIA and so are
currently looking to provide a lot of Equality and Diversity Monitoring reports on our
website for both student and staff data as well as other He related /equality research.
Our MI is pretty poor at MMU in terms of direct access and usability so this is why we are
trying to coordinate it for those responsible for EIA to make the process smoother!

Dear All
We are in the process of rolling out our impact assessment training
across the University and wondered if we could have some feedback
regarding the next stage. That is, when departments and faculties start
looking at their policies and procedures and then look for data /
evidence are we, in the D&E Unit, likely to be swamped with data
requests or has the experience been that policy holders and their teams
are quite adept at finding information for themselves?
I realise, of course, that the insitution's own data recording and
publication efficiency will have some bearing on this but we are
concerned that people may want to be 'spoon fed' prepared data instead
of looking at figures and extracting what they need. To some extent we
want to prepare our part time data officer with information as to what
or how he should prepare our data based on information from those of you
who are further down the line.
If anyone has any advice then I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks
Tammy
