Hi everyone
I am unable to provide all the information that you have asked for, but
thought this might help
At LSE, we have recently established a Disability and Diversity
Consultative Forum (DDCF), reporting to the Equality & Diversity
Committee (EDC) of the Academic Board and Council. The Forum is still in
its initial stages of development, but once in operation would provide
the grass roots feedback on equality and diversity issues that staff and
students face. The ToR of DDCF are as follows:
(i) to keep under review, consider and make proposals regarding
diversity issues and policy, to EDC
(ii) to provide a channel for representatives of grass roots opinion to
make diversity issues and concerns known, and as appropriate, referred
to the EDC, by making provision in the membership for representatives of
interest groups such as the Disability, Race, Gender, LGBT Group etc and
providing a focus for the consideration of issues related to diversity
that emerge in other School Consultative Forums and User Groups
(iii) to consider any issues referred to it for consideration by EDC
Hope this helps
Best wishes

Subject: Consultative groups
Hi all
Here at Brighton we are looking into our structures for gathering
feedback and enabling/encouraging participation by staff & students on
E&D issues.
Would anyone be able to let me know what you do at your institutions? In
particular I am interested in finding out about any consultative groups
or discussion forums that you may have. eg:
- do you have any such group (or groups)?
- how is it structured?
- who is involved?
- what is its purpose?
- how often do they meet (or how do they communicate/provide feedback
through other routes)?
- What works and what doesn't?
- Anything else?
Many thanks
Helen
