It seems to be important currently to have a broader-based set of networks
or forums dealing with particular equality strands, to which anyone with
expertise and commitment can contribute. Some institutions then also have
support groups or consultative groups, of the kind suggested by your paper,
which might be limited by self-identification with (a) particular issue(s).

Subject: Employee Networks
Hi all,
I am aware that some of you have employee networks and would appreciate if
you could read the short attachment and add any further points you think
that can be used as justification for setting up networks. One of the
questions I have been asked to address is under what legislation we can
defend the networks if challenged by others who may for example want to
attend a disabled employees network, BME or Women's network. Your views are
very welcome.
Regards
Anne
