Hi,
We don't have a home working policy, but adhoc arrangements tend to be
made depending on individual circumstances. For example some of my
colleagues work from home one day a week. My understanding is that
formal home working arragements are generally discouraged because of
Health and Safety issues and insurance. However if individuals want to
use their own equipment this is acceptable. One of the areas you may
need to think about is homeworking for disabled people where individuals
may sometimes need the flexibility to work from home to manage the
impact of their disability. Where a need is assessed the Employment
Service will generally contribute to the purchase of equipment to enable
them work from home.
Regards
Anne

Subject: Homeworking
Hi all,
Here at Exeter we are currently reviewing our flexible working options
and are looking to develop a homeworking policy as part of this review.
It would be helpful to know what other HEIs are doing in this area and I
was wondering whether anyone who already has a policy/guidance
documents on homeworking would be willing to share these with us?
Many thanks,
Regards
Dorcas
