Dear All,
We are currently reviewing how Learner Support Plans for disabled students are
communicated to the appropriate staff members and departments across the
University. The LSP are currently distributed to the departments via a disability
link tutor, though there is concern over data protection and who should hold this
information and problems with communication in certain quarters. We are looking
at how best to ensure that the LSP reach the appropriate staff members as well
as complying with the DDA and Data Protection.
We are considering a number of means including using the University's online
student Progress Files, the University Management Information systems etc.
If any one has an example of best practice from your institution, can you please
send me the details / policy or procedure used.
