Subject: Commitment when employees become disabled
Dear colleagues,
We are currently looking at producing a document (to be published on our
website) outlining our commitment when employees become disabled to make
every effort to ensure they stay in employment. The aim of this document
will be to act as support for employees and line managers supporting
employees to make sure they know that, should an employee become
disabled, or if an employee's existing disability becomes worse, there
is a mechanism in place for the university to consider all the options.
I would be interested to hear from anyone whose institution already has
something similar in place.
Many thanks
Regards
Dorcas
