Will,
Appropriately enough, following from this morning's training session, I received this via a Media Librarians' mailing list, of which I'm a member.
Sheena.

Subject: Survey on accessible TV - a-TV Project
Forwarded with permission on behalf of a-TV Project
Dear colleagues & students,
We are running a survey examining the problems faced by visually
impaired when using television. This is a part of a project aiming to
develop a commercially-feasible accessible TV.
I am approaching you to request your help in raising participation in
our survey. The success of our survey depends on the number and a
variety of responses we will receive. You might have colleagues,
students, family or friends who either are or come in contact with
visually impaired and might be interested to take part in the survey.
Please forward this message to them or otherwise encourage them to
participate in the survey by calling the number below.
Your help with the survey will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If you are visually impaired and wish to take part in our survey, please
visit http://www.atv-survey.org.uk/ to fill in your survey response
on-line. If you prefer to do this via telephone, please call our team
from the UK on 0845 22 602 88 or from abroad call +44 845 22 602 88. If
you require a different format, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Please submit your response as soon as convenient, but in any case
before Monday, 14th February 2005 when we plan to close the on-line
questionnaire.
Other than taking action on what we will learn from the survey, I hope
to present the findings at next year's RNIB TechShare 2005 conference.
If you require further information or have any questions at this time,
please contact me via email at [log in to unmask] or telephone
on 01202 595 505 (from overseas +44 1202 595 505).
On behalf of the entire 'a-TV' project team, I would like to thank you
very much for your help.
Kind Regards,
Milan Vasilko

NB: If you wish to be kept informed about the future developments from
this project, you must to opt in via the questionnaire or alternatively
you may request to be added on our email list by sending a message to
[log in to unmask] containing your contact details.
