In response to the findings of the HEFCE equal opportunities research and
another study undertaken by UNISON, we would like to appoint someone to work
on a 9-month project with the trades unions and other partners to address
bullying and harassment in higher education. The details of the post are

Project Leader: Bullying and Harassment in Higher Education Circa £30K (9
month fixed term contract)
Working in partnership with the higher education trades unions, the Equality
Challenge Unit has an opportunity for an experienced project worker to
tackle bullying and harassment in the higher education sector.
You will have overall responsibility for the management of the project and
production of materials associated with it, as well as organisational
initiatives. You will report to a project steering group that will be
established to monitor and guide the work and the Equality Challenge Unit,
as appropriate.
You will have a good knowledge of the higher education sector, equality and
diversity, and health and safety, as well as understanding of, and
commitment to, the aims of trades unions.
This appointment could be on the basis of secondment. The secondee would
remain an employee of their organisation throughout the period of
secondment.
