Dear colleagues,
On a day when age is very much in the news, we thought we'd send you a brief email to help keep you up to date with what's happening on the age equality front here at the ECU and elsewhere.
Our publication on age stereotyping is nearing completion! We expect it to be available electronically before Christmas, and to be in print by early January. Members of the joint ECU/ UCEA working group on age are contributing to this publication.
We have now updated the age pages of our website to include the latest information on the work of the joint working group. Click on http://www.ecu.ac.uk/guidance/age/ to read more.
We find the DWP's free email bulletins well worth reading. These flag up news items and supply relevant links to the DWP's Age Positive website. You can subscribe to the bulletins by entering your email address on the homepage of the Age Positive website at http://www.agepositive.gov.uk/
Finally, the Employers Forum on Age have just launched some impressive new marketing materials, which members of the EFA can buy to use within their own organisations. The materials include logos, straplines and catchphrases that can be adapted to posters, flyers, electronic communications, etc. The materials are currently available to view at the following link: http://www.efa.org.uk/age/age_aware.asp
Best wishes,
Liz and Robyn
