> Rachael de Souza joined the ECU as PR Manager on 13 June 2005. She previously worked for the NHS and Transport for London as a PR Manager, where she worked closely with National Health and Transport correspondents on many sensitive areas of media interest. Prior to that, she had 15 years' experience in marketing and communications roles, working for blue-chip organisations in this country and abroad. Rachael gained experience of working on Equal Opportunities projects whilst at the NHS and Transport for London - for example, she worked with the Operations and HR directorates at the NHS to introduce recruitment programmes for medical and clinical staff from ethnic minorities, in order to reflect the population statistics for the county. Rachael has an MSc in International Marketing from the University of Newcastle, a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has completed her Diploma studies for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations this year.
