Hi,
Some of you will remember our discussions about Gideon Bibles a few
years
ago. I'd like to raise the issue again, in a new format.
(Incidentally, I'm not an EO Officer, but an academic with a fairly long
history of being active in EO within my institution).
There has been some informal discussion here about the issue of Bibles
in
residential rooms. We wondered whether there was an alternative to the
'no
to Bibles / yes to Bibles' dichotomy.
Do any of your institutions offer, or have any of your institutions
considered offering, a range of sacred texts to resident students /
residential conference guests ? If so,
- what is the range, and
- how did you arrive at it, adn
- did / do you think that approach is within the spirit and letter of
RRAA?
With thanks,
