Much the same applies here at Sussex both at Christmas and at Easter,
though for less time. Leave entitlement isn't affected. Earlier suggestions
in this thread about staff possibly working normally on those days would
not be feasible, as the entire operation is closed down, buildings locked
up, catering services closed etc..In effect only essential infrastructural
or emergency work is done and security maintained. It's also as much about
cost saving as anything else.
