Jan,
Here at Essex we do not publish or promise a time scale for
investigating and/or dealing with complaints of H & B but we do try to
fast track such complaints. Fortunately most of our complaints are dealt
with informally to the satisfaction of the clients.
Best wishes,
Syd.

Subject: Harassment and Bullying investigations
Dear colleagues
At Kingston University we have a fully comprehensive Dignity at Work and
During Study policy and fully trained harassment contacts. However we
have come across issues relating to alleged bulling investigation time
scales. We advise that an investigation will take place within seven
working days but where witnesses, and if there are many, aren't
available etc, we are finding that investigations are taking
considerable time which creates further problems and in particular where
a Union has become involved.
I would be grateful if you could advise if you have had similar problems
and if you have set down agreed timescales when people will attend an
interview and the investigation to be completed within a specific
timescale.
Regards
