Dear Susanna,
There is a word version you can download from the HEFCE website as well as a PDF version. I have also just emailed you a word document so you can braile it from there, or obviously, we can send out braile copies.
Hope this helps
Yasmin

Subject: ECU publications on disability
With apologies for cross posting
Dear colleagues
I am pleased to let you know that the ECU publication Understanding the
DDA Amendment Regulations 2003 - a Guide was posted out second class to
every HEI on Friday last, October 29th. We sent five copies to each HEI
( to our named equality and diversity contact) with one additional copy
going to the head of the HEI. We suggested that the copies should be
distributed to Equality and Diversity staff, HR director, Head of Staff
Development, Chair of Equality Committee and Disability Officer.
The Guide will be on the ECU website later today. Its main focus is on
employment-related amendments, although it does touch on student-facing
amendments where these have employment-related implications.
Further hard copies (limited numbers) can be requested from ECU by
sending an email to

Looking ahead, we have nearly finished work on the text of a briefing
paper for senior managers on the forthcoming public sector duty on
disability (suggested first steps). We hope to have that briefing
available by the end of November/beginning of December in hard copy. The
text will be available sooner, however, (probably mid November) on our
website at www.ecu.ac.uk
Hope you find the DDA Amendment Regulations Guide helpful meantime. With
good wishes Liz
