Hi Aslam,
Just a point of note. Diversity will need to be seen (through monitorable
evidence)to always link with Equality, if it is to reflect what it is
intended to in a fair, just, consistent, transparent, effective,
non-idiosyncratic, inclusive and good practice manner.
Otherwise we end up with diversity that is might be based on an individual's
interpretation, at best or the exotic and/or tokenistic interpretation, at
worst. This would take us right back to where we are trying to get away
from, in the first place.
The only effective way of achieving Diversity is to then underpin everything
we do, with the requirements of the current statutes, then we stand a very
good chance of going in the right direction.
My view, as usual and comments are most welcome, as always.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
