We did specify that the students should have home/EU status. I have attached a copy of
the advert/further particulars for this scheme. The scheme was primarily aimed at helping
our own students and encouraging them to apply for academic posts when they complete
their PhD. Waiving fees for overseas status clearly involves a greater cost and there are
potential work permit implications.
