As an atheist I have always found it very irritating; and I think it's
probably not appropriate. It doesn't actually violate my belief system in any
serious way, but I think it could be unacceptable to those with other
religious faiths.

Subject: Gideon Bibles
Dear Colleagues,
I would really appreciate your opinions on the placing of Gideon Bibles
in the rooms of students in halls of residence. Does your institution
permit this / does it happen? What is your opinion on this? What do you
think might be the implications for this under the recent Religion and
Belief Regulations?
Look forward to your comments,
Thanks very much,
Mel
