Dear Berry
We do not have a specific language policy here at Aston. The eo forum took
the decision about 18 months ago not to pursue a separate policy but to
ensure that all university publications, documents etc were reviewed to
ensure they were not gender biased. In practice this has not happened and
of course does not take account of informal communication whether verbal or
written and other areas of language discrimination. It is something that
the Forum will come back to I think but you are right we are concentrating
on the RRAA at the moment.
