The University of Warwick is in the process of designing a positive action advertising campaign aimed at increasing the number of ethnic minority applicants, so I too would be very grateful for any feedback from HEIs that have tried similar campaigns.

Faith,
we are starting with adverts in the Ethnic Minority press. We also have,
like yourselves at APU, signpost ad's in Ethnic Britain. We have not yet
used other specialist media. I will let you know if there is any take up
specifically arising from the ad's.
Best wishes,
Syd.

Subject: Targeted advertising
Hello all,
Has anyone advertised their university's job vacancies in media such as
Disability Times, www.youreable.com, Eastern Eye, Asian Times, New
Nation, etc.? If so, please could you let me know whether such
advertising increased the number of applications from people of
different racial groups and/or with disabilities. I'd welcome hearing
about your experiences and any recommendations you might have.
Thanks,
Faith
