I would appreciate your help, if possible, on two issues:
1. Tax/NI savings in relation to nursery fees. We understand that where a
nursery is directly run by an employer it is possible for both the employer
and staff using the nursery to gain savings in respect of taxation and NI
contributions, under a system where staff are paid less salary but are
provided with a nursery place as part of their employment package. If
anyone is operating such an arrangement, or has looked into this themselves,
I would be very grateful if they could spare me a few minutes to discuss the
benefits and disadvantages.
2. Does anyone have a sabbatical leave scheme for staff? I am interested
in all schemes (not only those for academic staff). If you do have any such
schemes I would be most grateful if you let me have sight of your policy
documents.
