Dear Colleagues,
This is a reminder for those who might need it,please remember that in
relation to race equality, when you are considering your institutional
monitoring needs for all staff and students you need to relate them to the
RRAA specific duty requirements (SEE STATUTORY CODE OF PRACTICE pages 42-44
paragraphs 6.35- 6.43)
Thanks
Mannie.

Subject: information required on staff monitoring
Dear All
I would appreciate your assistance re: equal opps monitoring for staff.
1. I should like information on the most current trends for the HE sector by
vacancy type such as admin, management, academic and age, disability, gender
and race . Is there any information other than HESA available (as currently
only academic related information is recorded)?
2. I am also particularly interested in receiving information for two
categories: black African and black British?
3. And does your institution monitor staff recruitment and selection
processes? how often (monthly, quarterly or annually)?
4. Does your institution set targets for particular groups. If so what are
they?
5. Are you willing to share any reports from your institution.
Please forward this to other colleagues who may be able to assist.
Finally, please accept my thanks in advance of your reply and for any
information shared.
All the best for 2002.
Regards,
Naseem
