Info from the University of Teesside as follows:
1. Approximately 1600 staff and 15,000 student.
2. We are a stand-alone Pesonnel Department, responsible to the Deputy
Vice-Chancellor (Academic)
3. We currently have an Equal Opportunities Forum, consisting of
approximately 15 representatives from across the University. It is a
short-life group which has come together to discuss the overhaul of our
Equal Opps policy. We are hoping soon to create an Equal Opps Committee,
with the DVC as Chair, reporting to the Corporate Management Committee.
However, this has not yet been finalised.
Hope this is useful.

Subject: Further Info required
Dear All
A big thank you to all colleagues who have kindly provided information on EO
staff.
However, I would welcome further information and clarification on the
following points:
1. Please indicate a general breakdown for your staff and student
population. Please I am not seeking specific info re: gender, race,
disability etc, but a generic figure such as around 3,000 staff and 23,000
students etc.
2. Please also clarify where in the structures the post(s)/ centre/ team is
based. For some colleagues it's straightforward Personnel and others have
indicated student services as their location, but for most replies I've
received thus far this is not clear.
3. What kind of EO Committee/ Forum exist; their generic size; who chairs
these and frequency of meetings.
Please once again accept my gratitude and appreciation for your assistance.
Once I've completed this info. I'll circulate this to all colleagues.
All the best.
