Hello everyone,
The next edition of NATECLA News, our association newsletter, will be due out at the beginning of the next academic term in January. I'd therefore like to invite members of this discussion list to submit contributions towards the publication, which may fall into any of the following categories:
- News of recent events concerning ESOL learners and teachers
- Reports from NATECLA branches and their activities
- Reports on projects based around ESOL teaching and learning
- Book reviews of any new literature on language and/or teaching that you have read recently
- Reports from classrooms – your ideas, tips and activities to share (particularly at the start of a new term)
- News of any fundraising or social events that you have run for the benefit of ESOL teachers or learners
There's scope for other content, of course, so if you have an idea that doesn't fit neatly into one of those, please do still get in touch.
General length of articles is expected to be 600-800 words (though we can accommodate longer pieces) written to be accessible to the general ESOL teaching public (that is, not TOO academic please). Images are especially welcome.
I am looking to collect first drafts by the second week of December.
If you are interested please get in touch at either nnewseditor[at]gmail.com or mjah84[at]gmail.com.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Mike Harrison
NATECLA News Editor
