Hi Wendy,
I did the level 5 ESOL in 2008/9. Not a brilliant course, as expected from 'City & Guilds', but it was made better by the quality of the tutors.
Having said that, I found the Cambridge Delta much more relevant and useful, and would recommend that much more, be it in the EFL or ESOL workplace.
Not sure about the Literacy Dip, or how it relates...
