Can anyone help?
I am posting this on behalf of a colleague who wants to ask about JCP models nationally?
At Leeds City College, Retention and Success for Jobcentre ESOL classes are not good enough. Achievement is excellent when the students stay on course.
On JCP ESOL, students are enrolled to 12 weeks at 120 GLH. The first time a student attends they are on own goals – if they return they are enrolled to a Speaking and Listening qual using City and Guilds.
I would like to know what delivery models other colleges use and how others have overcome the problems of retention for this group of students.
