Hi all,
The British Council has a lot of free materials for ESOL and ELT
learners on Shakespeare. They're at different levels, but many were
written by ESOL teachers. I'm away from home and don't have the address
to hand but just Google British Council Shakespeare lessons and you'll
find them.

Hello,
I am ESOL Lead Tutor for Sheffirld Coty Council and one of our tutors
has done some work on Shakespeare. She used a stories from
Shakespeare book set which as written for children. This was with entry
level learners but she worked on Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer
Nights Dream.
I will forward your message to her and also tell her about this group
as she may be interested.

Hi All,
I'm trying to put together a lesson for my Entry 1 JCP class on
Skakespeare, because I have a learner who is reading "Antony and
Cleopatra" in English! Has anyone any ideas, resources or internet
links they could share please?
Maybe others have ESOL learners interested in Shakespeare and I
shouldn't have been surprised? I did think something came round on the
list but I can't find it anywhere. My 17 year old daughter thinks that
because we find Shakespeare's language difficult, 2nd language learners
think they have as much access to it as we do. I don't know. Any
thoughts?
