Subject: [Baalmail] Funded PhD opportunity
The research project 'People, products, pests and pets: the discursive representation of animals' (Leverhulme) will run at King's College London and The University of Birmingham from September 2013-2016.
Learn more: People, products, pests and pets: the discursive representation of animals<http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/Documents/college-artslaw/calgs/PhD-Studentship-in-Corpus-linguistics-Applied-Linguistics.pdf>
To work on the project, we are seeking applications for 1 three-year PhD studentship at the University of Birmingham. (A second PhD studentship at King’s is advertised separately.) The PhD will investigate an aspect of how representations of animals in English have changed over time.
Further particulars and details of how to apply can be found at http://bit.ly/13IlMbQ.
Informal enquiries are welcome. Please contact Alison Sealey via email at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]><mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Do please draw this message to the attention of other people who you think may be interested, including talented students approaching the end of their Master’s studies, as it may be possible for such an applicant to register for the PhD after the project start date in September.
Thank you.
