Dear all
Following the publication of the Nottingham Impact Assessment in April 2011 (Exec Summary attached, full report at www.begin.org.uk/news), local referring partners were invited to sign up to the attached letter to ministers endorsing the work of Action for ESOL Nottingham. Rather than a petition, we wanted to indicate the value of ESOL and negative impact of the cuts across services/sectors.
82 organisations signed, including:
- Nottingham City Council, local councillors and MPs;
- Training providers – from the largest college in Nottingham, and the regional WEA - to voluntary sector and private organisations;
- Schools and children’s centres;
- Health centres and community health initiatives;
- Community and faith organisations – from women’s groups to those supporting refugees and asylum seekers.
If helpful, please use.
